COMPUTER industry icons including the
creator of console classic Donkey Kong have been
honoured - on their very own Walk Of
Game.
Legend Shigeru Miyamoto was among a string of
names given stars -just like on Hollywood's Walk
Of Fame.
The walk - which also honours Atari
co-founder Nolan Bushnell - has been built in a
San Francisco arcade.
Computer whiz Nolan was behind the game
credited for giving birth to the multimillion
pound games industry in 1972 - the revolutionary
Pong.
It proved a massive hit with gamers who spent
hours batting a tiny white square 'ball' to each
other across a black screen.
Speaking at the unveiling, Nolan joked:
"Thank you very much for this honour. It's
always fun to be walked on wherever you can
be."
